Compared to traditional soil improvement methods, URETEK technology is 70% faster, 30% more environmentally friendly and 20% cheaper solution.
Behind everything that URETEK does is the goal of driving the transition to socially responsible ground improvement. Our values of professionalism, customer first and zero harm mean that we are always striving to provide our customers with the most convenient, reliable and cost-effective solution whilst minimising any negative impacts to people or the environment.
With regard to geopolymer resin-based processes, it is understandable to query their possible effects on the environment and on health and safety as well. Since its inception, URETEK has adopted a strict policy on these subjects – both to safeguard the health of our technical team and clients, and to preserve ecosystems.
Studies conducted have proved that URETEK geopolymer resins and technology do not have any negative impact on the environment nor does it contaminate the ground:
- This absence of contamination is due to the fact that the multiple components, once mixed, form closed and very tightly bonded chains of molecules.
- The quantities of geopolymer injected rarely exceed 2 to 4% of the volume in the treated area (0.2 to 1% by weight).
- The migration of the geopolymer away from the point of injection is limited (up to 2m) since polymerisation progresses very rapidly.
- 90% of remediation treatments are carried out near to the surface (at a depth of 3 to 4m).
URETEK ground engineering solutions can help reduce the carbon footprint of construction projects by reducing the amount of excavation and material required for foundation repair and stabilization. This can result in significant cost savings and environmental benefits.
In addition, geopolymer injection is a non-invasive method that does not require heavy machinery or excavation, which further minimizes the environmental impact. No less important is the fact that the materials used in our work have all the necessary environmental and safety certificates.
Overall, URETEK technology can be considered environmentally friendly, as it provides a sustainable solution to ground improvement and foundation repair while minimizing negative impacts on the environment.
